Really good sound quality! Bought it at cheap price ten years ago and didn't expect much but it is a really nice release, blue vinyl play flawlessly.

Bought this via eBay ten years ago purely as a one off experiment then forgot it, I loved that album cover shot of Diane Dors oh so young.
Strangely after checking it over when it arrived I then " filed" it away along with the rest of my collection and promptly forgot all about it I til today.
I have all The Smiths albums on vinyl on first pressings as well as many 12" singles too. But tomorrow I promise myself to grab them all and give them a damn good wet bath via Spin care and have a Smiths day or two.
Sure you can do all this without the fuss of cleaning down your 35 year old vinyl by playing them all via Spotify or whatever those apps are called. But being aged 58 I love my vinyl collection of 10,000 +/-albums and actually enjoy the ritualistic nature of vinyl playing.
This bootleg will be heard by all my family for the very first time tomorrow morning after laying in wait for ten odd years!
I hope it does sound as powerful as some say. Most Smiths albums do sound insipid don't they, production wise. Obviously the one big exception is that rare 12" b side called The Draize Train which always sounded pretty powerful back in the days. Maybe it's not aged so well, I'll find out tomorrow won't I ?!?!
Just having a week of fun(?!?!?) of wet cleaning my vinyl accrued from the last couple of years and my goodness I hadn't realised how many I had to clean. Over 185 records but some great ones I'd forgotten about. So it's going to be a weekend of fine music, followed, hopefully by a long awaited England football final victory come this Sunday evening. It's only taken us 55 years since 1966 to achieve our full potential. Morrissey will be proud if we win, well I bloody well hope he is ???
Now where's my 12" single of This Charming Man ? Haha there you are!

Found that quite cheap at a market place years ago (some 20 bucks). Record is just amazing in that it offers completely different and often awesome renditions of Smiths classic. A true gem.

I have a lot of Smiths records, UK originals, 1st Japanese presses, German issues, and US Sires and believe it or not, the sound quality on this boot is better than anything I’ve ever heard on a Smiths record. How could that be? For one, the bass is turned up in the mix from what is normally found on Smiths recordings and the robust bottom end really adds another dimension to the sound of these recordings. Also noted, is the increased clarity and separation between instruments. These mixes are rough and raw and definitely harness the untamed energy of the band doing what they do best. There is a sense of depth and spaciousness to the music and the guitar attacks you with its frenzied detail. The soundstage is huge! Holy F**k that 7 minute version of The Queen is Dead just blew my mind. That is a supercharged beast! That’s should have been the original release. Imagine if the Smiths were a punk band. That’s what you’d get. Some songs definitely have an improvised feel and sound fresh, like they were just being laid down. All in all this boot delivers with the highest regard. Amazing song selection, amazing alternative takes/demos really captures the band at its tightest, most musically coherent times. This is really a treat for Smiths fans and if you find it get it.

Normally outtakes and demos sound like crap, especially on "unofficial" releases. But this is a gem. I originally wanted this for the "first take" of 'There is a light', which is now available through the Queen is Dead Box Set. When I heard of this one, which has the exact same version, I jumped. Sound quality is amazing, and the versions are quite different, which makes it easily worthy of a moderate price.
