Reviews
- For starters the donut hole was too tight for my turntable. Vinyl and covers look great, the sound I was not as impressed with; sounds like they took the movie mix instead of properly master it for an album release. Add to that the distracting dialogue drops and you get what is almost a bootleg version released by a legit Studio. A24 have the biggest hype stickers.
- A flawless pressing. I love the textures in the music, dialogue mixed in, and the sound stage. This albums sounds expansive and really capture the feel of the movie without the visuals.
- A truly wonderful package. I was a bit let down with the vinyl colours initially but I do think it matches the soundtrack and the sleeve quite well. The artwork used for the sleeves gatefold and exterior really is great and the spot gloss and embossing is a nice touch. I do wish they could’ve put google eyes actually on it or included some but I do see how that could dent the gatefold, still would’ve been fun!
The audio itself now, having it as one continuous soundtrack without track lengths and intermissions between makes this a whole different experience to listening on digital. Including audio from the film itself only elevates the experience and fully immerses you in the experience again. I’ve seen this film over 10 times now and listening to the vinyl uninterrupted, you really can picture what point in the movie you’re at vividly. Quickly it is one of my favourite vinyls and I am so glad I have it.
There is going to be a wide release later in the year as there’s pre orders up so don’t pay for the inflated prices on here if you can find a pre order! - This release is amazing, they added some dialogue from the film and adjusted the tracks so they would flow together. The details in the jacket are really nice in person and the color choice for the actual records is such a fun touch.
- you can literally preorder this somewhere else for $40, and as of now don’t buy from any resellers because you’re just wasting money. beautiful soundtrack though
- Love the packaging and it sounds amazing. I like the concept of not putting any tracks specifically timed on here, allows me to just immerse myself into the story all over again.
As for the resellers, do not pay that much. It may be OOS on A24 but it will have a general release at indie record stores in august that is the exact same so….
