- On Tha Run! What an underrated banger! Got that delicious womp.
Since I first heard/bought Sholay around 2004/5 it's a track that has always stuck with me.
Benny Ill's production skills are in full effect here with that deftness of touch and sonic polish that he always brings to his projects. All of the elements are perfectly aligned from that dreamy vocal sample, the forceful punchy bass and those beautifully syncopated drum patterns.
I've never seen Sholay the film but would be intrigued to know if the vocal samples are from there.
For me it's an eternal masterpiece and along with Artwork's Basic G remains one of Tempa's finest hours.
I was into these dudes before anybody. Partied with them all the time.
