This is a seriously overlooked Hartford record. Made after Areo-Plain I go back and forth on which is my favorite. When you have Dave Holland and Norman Blake playing Hartford's quirky, funny, melancholy tunes in their virtuosic style you can't find much better. Up there as one of the best in new acoustic music imo. Hard to find these days but worth picking up.

This LP is a sound spectacular in part due to the mastering by Robert Ludwig at Sterling Sound. The combination of John Hartford and Dave Holland along with Norman Blake really make this a classic.
