unfortunatelly... no indication of the color at the front sticker...
Also in Europe we paid extra fees because originally it produced and came from U.K. even if they ship them from Germany.... :/
Total cost ??? 85,5 euros! (52 + 9,5 shipping + 24 fees....) way too expensive
Heads up guys... they are still selling these through Universal on the Metallica website. Just scored one. Click on the buy 72 seasons link then on the universal link. Very reasonable freight too.

This record sounds fantastic - Only the effing best for the boys in Metallica :)
- Mine came flat and without any visible blemishes - This also goes for the jacket/inners - really nice packaging
- Great soundstage and separation. Detailed and punchy. Consistent volume between the sides/discs.
- Color and design of this pressing are great - Looks pretty sweet, and the color/marbling does not seem to impact the sound at all
- Very, very little/no surface noise

Just received mine and it came with the same lp twice, no side A and B!!!
Quality rather mixed: indeed on my amp (Denon) you have to turn up the volume high enough to hear correctly. And there, it depends: drop in overall sound from time to time, voice not very audible and instrument volumes are unstable. It's like listening to a Dolby Atmos recording on stereo speakers.
However, the streaming quality is very good. Why this choice for vinyls?
The packaging and design are top notch.
I have the download card in my copy. It has the size of a credit card and was stuck deep inside the inner of the gatefold sleeve.
All files are wave format.- Why are people paying upwards to $75 for this? It’s on Wal-mart’s site for $40.
Edited one year agoThe vinyl is flat, it looks great and it sounds great! No surface noise, click or pops! I suggest to buy antistatic polylined inner sleeves to protect the vinyl as they originally come in cardboard printed sleeves. Welcome back Metallica!- Mine hasn’t got the download card as stated on the sticker.
The U.K. Smokey black version hasn’t got it either?!
Has anyone got the download card in their copy?
Also, it has the wrong barcode sticker stuck over another one. It has the red and black vinyl sticker instead, barcode 0602455012463 BLCKND055-1W.
