Reviews
- A mysterious release with an obviously false album title because the Reverend has died in May 1972. According to Robert Tilling "A Tribute To The Reverend Gary Davis (1896-1972)" page 147, tracks B5 to B8 were possibly recorded in Toronto, Canada, c.1964 and other tracks on this LP were from Folk-Lyric 125/77'LP77. According to "Say No To The Devil: The Life And Musical Genius Of Rev. Gary Davis" from Ian Zack, page 297, Arhoolie Records founder Chris Strachwitz, who purchased the entire Folk Lyric catalog from Harry Oster in 1970, says that Folklyric LP 125 was never issued and there were no tapes in hand. So it is unknown where and when the recordings actually were made.
