- I've got this on blue vinyl, what a CHOON. MK keeps up his crown of being Producer Extraordinaire. Bought from Tower Records, Piccadilly late nite shopping (opened til midnite!). 1994 memories x
- A1 - The MK Remix is larger than life :) ... First heard this at Notting Hill festival, and the crowd went apeshit !! ... Found it at "Black Market" in Soho the day after ... Truly a gigant ... Mark knows ... // Tommy
- Edited 6 years agoGreat 12" MK - 2 Huge Tunes on here and its difficult to choose between the two - guess it depend on your mood !
"Given" is a stripped down house tune, that just seems to work effortlessly, as the differed synth cords and drum patterns drop in and out of the track along with the vocals.
"4 You" is again quiet a stripped down track, with it haunting sax line, deep deep bass line and almost bleep sounding synth stabs.
"Just a Dream" Is a nice vocal and synth tune, with a lovely simple piano line, but difficult to compete against 4 You & Given.
Needs to be played loud to get the depth & warmth of these tracks. - Edited 11 years ago'4 You' is a fantastic record, but for me it's 'Given' all the way. It's a prime example in less is more. Bumpy drums, a drunken synth, three bass parts, and a simple vox chop - this is a formula that remains the blueprint for house music.
Pressed on gorgeous blue vinyl which is a bonus! Tip!
