Reviews
- I was very surprised to find this LP in the used bins of a local record shop. This is great music, a real masterpiece, and a beautiful recording. The piece was actually written for Ida Haendel, who had given its premiere shortly before making this recording. She plays brilliantly with strong and dramatic tones. She really goes over the top interpretively, which is exactly what is required. Pettersson completed this work in 1977 and he died in 1980. The LP came with a nice booklet that is tucked inside the sleeve with the record.
