Reviews
- very nice reissue. in a point of vocal, I feel original is better, but totally, this reissue is very well balanced in every instruments.
in 2023, the price of original is higher than this reissue thus this would be nice choice to have.
- The track Your Eyes is a bit muffled. Does anyone else have that issue?
Every other track sounds great! - Edited one month agoNo complaints here as in typical Japanese fashion the pressing is excellent as well as the mastering. I was fortunate enough to order online through Tower Records Japan for 4400 yen and last I checked they still have this pressing available as well as his other titles.
- Sounds fantastic on my bargain speakers (Creative T40 II) and off-brand turntable (Omnitronic BD-1380). It was worth waiting for a repressing all these years instead of paying through the nose for a used copy. Still can't stand Hey Reporter though, totally kills the vibe, but hey, we're not here to discuss the contents of the album. It's still a 5/5 - would play again.
- the quality of this pressing is quite amazing. Nice thick jacket/cover, poly sleeve alongside the paper sleeve, vinyl is spotless and flat. The sound quality is great, but as some others have said this record was cut hot and is pretty loud. there is inner groove distortion on the last track for each side and can sound a little intense at the climax of each track but overall it sounds good. I am running an ortofon 2M red so maybe it's my cart that could be contributing to the IGD as this isn't the best cart for that.
Overall this is a beautiful record and I am happy to own it. I wish all my releases had this kind of care and quality. - really beautifully pressed and packaged; i mean, the outer sleeve even uses a shockingly thick card stock, it's glorious. worth the higher price you pay considering that Sony Japan clearly do not cut any corners at all
- I bought this reissue to be alongside my original copy. It's very high quality and has great sound and mastering. I still prefer the original analog pressing which to me has more pronounced mids on my system. I think both are great, but if I had to choose one I would stay with the OG. nontheless, this is a good reissue that deserves the music printed on it.
- Edited 3 months agoOK. I ripped my original and reissue pressing with Audacity (A1 and part of A2). They were certainly not up to the sound quality of a proper audio system, but I was curious to see how they sounded.

Note that I did not apply any effects in Audacity. They are just from my turntable (Audio Technica AT-LP120X).
I have my opinions, but I am not going to share them now. Please take some time to listen to both files and let me know what you think. - I prefer this pressing over the original pressing...this is really a great (and warmer) sounding reissue!
