Show All 20 Reviews- This is fantastic!!!! Everything I want from an Jazz classic in mono! Played live and you're in the room with some of the greatest musicians who ever played. We are living in fine fine times and this is another example why!
- Excellent pressing, compared to the previous OJC version this has better presentation overall, specialy in the low end, treble clarity as well as midrange, Chambers bowing is more defined so is PJJ’s high hat, this is a must have
- Edited 6 days agoExcellent pressing, remastering, sleeve and music. Will be buying more of these releases, looking forward to the Bill Evans Riverside records.
- As this is related to Craft Recordings do you know if here we have again situation that someone else was responsible for mastering for US version and someone else for European release? Just want to make sure I will get the one cut by Kevin Gray and all below reviews refer to the same release, not mixed US/European. Different Amazon sites show as Country of Origin USA or France, despite ASIN code is the same B0BW4BC1M1. Thank you!
- Comparing this to the other OJC I think this one sounds veiled and not as dynamic as the previous versions. It sounds somehow dull in comparison.
- Dynamite pressing, absolutely blew away my Japanese pressing which is shrill in comparison. Excellent music detail, low noise floor, flat vinyl, nice glossy and thick cover. A pick up of this should not be missed.
It Never Entered My Mind is the standout as it should be. - Edited 11 days agoDisappointed by pressing and sound quality. Vinyl is dish warped and sound is bright, bordering harsh and uninvolving, I couldn't finish side 2 in fact. Hope the next titles will be better.
- Beautiful release! Record is perfectly flat, silent and scuff free. RTI did a great job again. The mastering sounds great, with nice instrument separation. The tip-on cover is how all re-issue of these classic albums should be (no need for gatefold like the TP).
- I enjoyed the music and the packaging is great. IMHO, I think master was cut too hot, I'm hearing a little distortion on the trumpet. I'm hoping someone can do a shootout between and O.G, an O.G OJC , A.P. & this one. I still recommend this one with that caveat.
