Show All 11 Reviews- I'm really happy with my copy. There is no surface noise, and it sounds really good as well. It really should have been a gatefold, but other than that it looks great. I love the up-close shot of her on the cover.
- Cleaned the heck out of mine like I regularly do...the surface noise on my copy is absolutely insane, its fairly warped too. Hope everyone else gets some better copies!
- Despite the disappointment that there wasn’t a gatefold or colored pressing, especially when comparing it to Ctrl, this pressing sounds absolutely amazing. It was clear and had very little surface noise throughout both LPs. This is a phenomenal album to have on vinyl.
- i love the alt cover. However, I can't seem to understand the lazy tracklist design situation when we got a beautiful one during the album release period? and no colored standard variant? or gatefold like ctrl had? the discs have to be paper thin to fit in this thin sleeve? just odd considering the $35 price point at most retailers. i like the hype sticker and labels tho.
- Glad the record was relatively cheap compared to most other popular releases these days, but unfortunately, it does show in the design.
No idea why the cover is so zoomed in, the big empty space of ocean made that photograph so strong and now it feels off.
Hoping for a future alt cover or at least a blue pressing. Like how the CTRL green pressing matched the cover.
Pressing sounds clean and it’s a very strong album. Can’t wait to see a live performance. - I'll agree that the packaging is a bit lacking, but the discs sound AMAZING, which matters much more to me.
- Just finished listening to my copy & got no complaints , sounded clean and no pops or surface noise. It’s on black vinyl so it’s going to sound decent.
For £25 from my local store , can’t complain at what you’re getting here. I like the close up version of the album cover , it suits an LP sleeve well.
This could have cost £40+ with the success of the album and artist , especially with todays prices.
Some collectors always appear to expect some fancy colour variant and bunch of extras & just moan continuously with their personal expectations. The product and price is right here. - Some feedback on the pressing:
I just bought a copy but I already wrote my opinion on the packaging below so now want to tell you about quality of the record.
It is a standard pressing, not heavyweight 180 gram vinyl but it doesn’t make it sound worse. After I cleaned all that garbage that was on the record (I don’t know why it was that much) it sound perfect, with little to no surface noice at all. Side three was scratched as hell, but it still played well.
Very controversial release, but I was so desperate for this on vinyl (you can’t even imagine how) so I had to grab it. - The packaging seems very low effort… Why is the tracklist written in calibri when SZA posted a much more interesting back cover design all the way back in December?💀
- Here on the UE, Spain, the vinyl will be priced at 25,99€. It's a VERY GOOD price for a 2LP, but still I have to agree with shapovaldenys. This is some of the most lazy packaging for a very anticipated physical release for disgrace. They could just do inner plain sleeves in a gatefold and it could be better than the jacket, but still, the main point of the release IS the vinyl, so let's see Friday how the LP sounds. I surely think this won't be the only physical release of it, the hype sticker shows "Exclusive LP", so maybe this will be the first press of the album. Don't know if it's for the black LP or for the cover, we'll need to wait to figure it out.
