I personally consider this a * * * * * record… Almost on par with led zeppelin who first dropped at the same time but for whatever reason, like so many, just never got that recognition and disappeared into the unknown. 6 of the 6 tracks are not only “listenable” but all quality original jams! The epic drawn out flower pot is the highlight. Worth it $

Loadstone reminds me of the band Chilliwack, whose album I found at the same shop: there’s like two listenable songs on an record with only six tracks. Like another band from the same period, Melting Pot, they play a gross “fusion” of white soul and hard rock which for some reason I find really hard to bear. But the song “Dayshine” has very pretty harmonies — that, I guess, might commend the album to you, though don’t pay too much for it.

To the best of my knowledge, Loadstone only put out this one album, though they apparently play on an Andy Williams record. Lodestone was a Las Vegas band that played at the Pussycat A Go Go, a club Williams frequented. Williams signed them to his label, Barnaby Records.
