Edited one month agoMuch like with For You the sound is good but still a bit edgy. I again detect some distortion on side ends because Katsutoshi Kitamura just cant seem to avoid cutting close to the label.
Sounds sooo good. Dead quiet. I admittedly don't have the original to compare it to, but I'm beyond pleased. A worthy reissue of an absolute classic. Don't think, just get it while you can!- I am very pleased with this release! Securing the originals is costly, so it's nice to have an alternative. My copy sounds excellent, with great stereo separation and full bass. The care put into this release is impressive, too - the inserts that come with it, the reproduction of the original jacket and label, and the record itself. Recommended.
I'll need to go back and compare this to my original, but to me this release doesn't sound quite as natural as the For You reissue, drums sound more muted/muffled and everything sounds just a bit flat and one dimensional. For instance I remember Silent Screamer having way more sparkle and bite in the mids and highs and this just sounds kind muted, like a filter was applied.- Does this have the original outersleeve too? Was wondering if identical?
I wish all my records were like this. Unreal quality and care went into this… they even put the album in a poly sleeve while also including a separate paper inner sleeve with some art on it. The quality of the LP itself is also unreal. Everyone else should be taking notes on this. I wouldn’t mind spending the extra money for an album if it came like this one did.
Top notch great sounding mastering! I love this album, this reissue just oozes quality. Music 10/10, presentation 10/10, pressing quality 10/10!
