Finally got my copy in the mail. I was really excited for this vinyl, the orchid pressing looked incredible online.
The packaging is gorgeous, all the photos, the gatefold, etc. The vinyl color is also to die for, probably Taylor's most beautiful pressing.
My disc 1 is slightly warped and there's a hissing throughout the entire side A, weirdly the quiet parts and in between tracks it's dead quiet. The music sounds highly compressed.
People said this was her best pressing sound wise, unfortunately my pressing seems very off compared to the reviews.
It literally sounds like I'm listening to a 96kbps MP3 file... very sad about sound quality.

I listened to the OG version back in January, and I didn't expect it to love it as much as I did, so afterwards I was eagerly anticipating Taylor's Version. I must say this might be her best package in a long while, defenetly the best out of the three re-recorded albums. What's really dissapointing to me about the previous two, is that they don't have a full album photoshoot. Red does have the album cover shoot, that they used pictures from in the booklet, but the diagonal graphic elements got very tired very quickly to me. Fearless doesn't seem to have even that, but correct me if I'm wrong. So I was very afraid this will be the fate and look for Speak Now TV as well. But fortunately for all of us, it didn't because not only does it have it's own shoot, but it turned out super nice as well! I love the editing on the pictures, esp the painted effect, the callback to the original dress on multiple pictures, the atmosphere it establishes with the different purples and airyness. It kind of turned into a summer album for me, even though a lot of us would categorize it as a winter album. I saw that the visual develpoment and creative direction was done by Taylor and this so called "13 Management", which I'm assuming is Taylor's own design firm basically. If this level of detail and thought carries over to the next 3 re-recordings, I'll be very happy. This one is stunning, with 3 different vinyl variants as well. I didn't expect to like the orchid as much, it was my least favourite when she announced it, but in person it matches the cover the most out of all of them. The sound quality is over all really good, from the recent Taylor presses this might be one of the best, after Midnights. It does have some issues with the vocals and sometimes you can hear a little inner groove distortion, but part of it is probably because of dirt, my discs were covered in paper particules and dust, and some very minor surface scratches when I opened it. That is something to take off points for, but otherwise it doesn't affect the sound quality. I also don't mind that it's 3 LP. I was a little worried, because I never had one, but it works really well for this release. Each side has about 15-20 minutes of song on it, so it's not that bothersome to switch sides and discs, and it feels like the perfect lenght. I love the vault tracks as well, especially Electric Touch! Overall this is an amazing release with stunning visuals and vinyl, I don't mind that it's a gatefold, the discs fit in there quite nice, but I keep the them between the gatefold anyways, so it kind of doesn't matter. Defenetly pick it up if you've been hasitating, it's absolutely worht it.

my copy sounds great! nothing insanely special, just nice and quiet and no skips or static or any issues. the orchid came out so pretty, with a good amount of deep purple/black marbling

Got an offcentre pressing 1st time round, direct from UK TS Merch store...(Side 2). Anyone else? Dunno where it was pressed cos DD ripped off the shrinkwrap as soon as it landed! Sending it back anyway...hoping for better QC next time...
