- I own a different variant but thought I’d leave my comment here as they have same mastering.
Phenomenal sounding record. I am actually in shock how good it sounds. The separation on this is INSANE. Soundstage and dynamic is audiophile grade.
Initially the record sounded a bit harsh on my conical stylus but as soon as I switched to a good elliptical stylus, the difference was night and day.
I stereo is so amazing that I cannot stop smiling out of joy. - Maybe this is the wrong place to post this, but as a warning to anyone buying - I bought this album from a seller on eBay and got a Michael Jackson record instead (for This Is It - actually made me think it was a copy of Is This It funny enough). This seems to be a common occurrence reported by multiple people online from different retailers, so it might be a pressing plant issue. Either way, make sure you avoid my mistake and buy from a seller with easy returns, just in case you get the Michael Jackson LP.
- Super flat pressing (no warps) sounds crisp and clean with no static whatsoever. I picked up a used copy and it sounds superb
- Sounds good overall but my copy has a bit of surface noise throughout the entirety of side a that's mostly noticeable in between tracks but not as much when the music is playing. Side B however is dead silent and has no crackles, pops or surface noise of any type. I'd still recommend this pressing if you're a fan of this album.
