Notes
Track A samples:
Vocal from King Of Rock by Run DMC.
Vocal from Prepared To Die by Ice-T
Break from KC & The Sunshine Band - Let it go
Track B samples:
Vocal from N-Joi - Anthem
Vocal from I Want You by Ralphi Rosario
Vocal from Big Love by Fleetwood Mac
Vocal from Jam On It by Newcleus
Vocal from Gwen Guthrie - Peanut Butter
Break from Incredible Bongo Band - Apache
Due to a mastering problem, the B Side (Love Overdose Remix) has a very noticable fidelity problem rendering it basically unplayable for DJ purposes. About once every second (corresponding with 1 full rotation of the record) there is a short period where the audio goes totally fuzzy and all the high-end cuts out. This applies to all first pressings of this 12", although perhaps there are some represses that have been remastered.

- That issue on Side B only kicks in at over 3 minutes in. If I hadn't have read this I might have thought I had some fingerprints on the record or something. "Unplayable for DJ purposes" is probably a bit strong
- Edited 6 years agoStarting off with the Run-DMC "King Of Rock" sample over a ruff breakbeat & 4/4, you know you're in for a treat.
Soon enough a sandpaper rough riff grinds at you, along with sub-bass fit to stun small animals.
This is pure D.I.Y. rave, random samples thrown together to create new life.
Check the track on Youtube. Listen to it, and wait for that breakdown around the 2:20 minute mark.
Pure MDMA.
It's no surprise to learn that Acen had a large part in this track. It's quintessentially his sound.
The alchemist at his wizard best! - Vengeance uses one of my favourite breaks as the beat "kc & the sunshine band - let it go"...storming tune
- amazing old skool tune, they couldn't of sampled the lyrics from a better 80s rap group other than the legendary RUN DMC.
- Vengance is an absolute icon of hardcore an amazing massive track that I absolutely love. The great thing about it is the way it changes through out its fairly lengthy play time. It keeps my attention right through the record, the I'm form africa sample brings in a great break at around 4.10. Where is that synth lead sampled from ?
Just checked & my copy has the problem mentioned above. I've never noticed it before & have played the track out & used it on plenty of mix tapes.
