Reviews
- Edited 16 minutes agoI must of got stuck with a bad pressing. On the first couple of plays everything sounded fine, put away for awhile and just recently played again. To my surprise I heard a few pops one side one, nothing too bad. I flipped over to side two, in between the first two songs load pops. This really bugs me, I’ve had this happen a few times with other new reissues, the mystery pops that just appear out of nowhere.
- Found one on Amazon about a week ago for 34 bucks. Listening to it now. I think that, unless you are an AAA fundamentalist (and understand that I nearly am one myself), you will not have a second thought about the sound quality of this album once you put it on. I don't know what an original vinyl sounds like (I had it on cassette back in the day), but it was digital to begin with. I'm listening while I'm typing this, and I'm having a blast. It's not Allman Brothers at the Fillmore, but I think you'll find that sound is not an issue. If you don't already have a copy you like, buy this with confidence.
- Amazing album! I have an original, and it is very nice to have the full concert on vinyl. The original does play a little louder, but this pressing sounds great as well. Just need to turn it up a bit. Great clarity and separation.
- sadly missed out on this, It sounds amazing on streaming, and don't wanna pay for these crazy resale prices, hoping they do a repress of this soon!!!
- Edited 16 days agoNot much to add to what has been said before. A surefire nostalgia trip for this listener and nice to have this all in one place (other than my old VHS copy). Wonderful mastering job by the underrated Joe-Nino Hernes with amazing depth/imaging, crispiness and umph. For once, I lucked out with a (mostly) flat and clean press. Well done all around. Rhino seems to have underestimated the appeal so here's hoping we will see a repress for those that missed out.
- Good balanced sound, slight noise but is overpowered by the music, flat as a pancake, Great package overall! Couldn't imagine the optimal media one being better. Would recommend if you can get it for retail (DONT BUY IT ON HERE! I DIDN'T)
- Sounds really clean and real nice. You might have an original but...
I got a repress that's better than that
And nothing is better than this (is it?)
