Reviews
- The music itself is outstanding, but the quality of this pressing ruins it. Crackles like a campfire throughout, cleaned it before playing even. Still enjoyed despite the surface noise, so will try to exchange and see if another copy works out better.
- Not massively impressed with mine.. bought from HMV, both side have a little bump/crease type warp that's audible... and some pops/cracks. Gonna give the black version a go.
- The tracks on this are not numbered A1, A2, etc - each side of this is colour-coded and denoted on the rear sleeve by small coloured circles - which correspond to the colours of the labels and the inner sleeves.
- So pretty looking. Too bad it doesn't sound the way it looks. Stick with the regular black version, that sounds outstanding.
- Mine came with the first disk warped and both having lots of cracks and pops. Did a 2x wet clean and the cracks and pops went away, make sure to do this before you return. (Limited edition yellow)
- After a wet clean, both vinyl were near flawless. Just a small section on side C (green?) with a click for around 30 seconds. Can't complain at all. Amazing that they squeezed 16 minutes each side on record 1 at 45RPM without overly compromising the sound. If you have problems, give these a damn good clean and you should be ok (as SpyderTracks said, Krunk vinyl comes out of the factory dirty).
- Mine was flawless, with rich luscious sound that to my ears sounds better than the digital stream. A wee bit of warping, but nothing serious at all. A+ from me, and five stars. Ordered from FNAC in Switzerland, if it matters.
- I was really surprised to find so many complaints about the yellow version. I wouldn't pretend mine is flawless, but it sounds really, really good, even with earphones. I was on the verge of sending it back without even giving it a listen after reading the comments, but it would have been a mistake. Give it a try (or two) if you have this version, you might not be disappointed!
- I lucked out, my copy is flawless. Krunks are always dirty out of the factory and need a wet wash first. Tiny warped part on my 1st record, but nothing bad. filiplitva I did actually have mine on 33 for the first track, which sounds quite normal at 33, it wasn't until the second track came in I realised it was the wrong speed.
I'm such a huge fan of Sigur, have almost everything they've ever done including obscure records from Jonsi's shop. This doesn't fail, big beautiful string soundscapes, lots of dynamics, emotion abounds. These guys are geniuses!
