- The music from this movie is iconic. Love just putting it on and relaxing. Might have to find more daft punk; its that good. If you're a fan of the movie its a must have.
- Edited 8 years agoA lot of people still don't get what market value means, mocking either those who were selling a RARE & in demand record at market value & or a number that they would be happy to part with a record they own for, or mocking the "idiots" who bought the RARE & in demand record because they wanted a copy enough the spend whatever THEY (not you) were willing to spend. Seriously you guys need to understand what supply & demand means, it seems that in reality you are sore losers.
Its quite simple no one is forcing you to part with your money and the transaction between two people is their business not yours.
How many record sellers on Discogs make the Forbes list each year? NONE.
If you still don't agree with market value I am more than happy to buy your entire vinyl collection off you for what I want to pay NOT market value nor the price that you decide and that will be the sum total of $1........any takers??????? No? well you are just a bunch of capitalistic money grabbing "losers" aren't you.
Great they re-issued it, good for you now enjoy it GRACEFULLY. - As someone who owns a first press I'm super happy that other people can now get their hands on this records for a fair price. Get on that pre-order people!
- What shocks me more is why people payed $300 for this. This happens a lot. A very limited press is released then like 5 years later they do a repress is there is a lot of demand for it.
- I wonder how 'limited' this 2015 repress will be. First pressing was numbered. What will they do now?
- Im delighted that this is getting a repress for genuine fans who want to own a copy and for them to finally have it in their collection. Im glad the discog touts wont get to sell their copy for their disgraceful prices. I have never been so delighted with a repress in my life or with anything on discogs haha
- I hope to god there is a reissue. I mean disney sold ALL copies so from a buisness point of view it makes sense. More money for them and we get to buy copies at a realistic and reasonable. No having to deal with assholes trying to sell this at $300+ dollars.
- I have this vinyl, however it came with 2 copies of disc 1 and no disc 2!! I went back to the shop but it was the last copy and I bought it long after it had ben released, so it was already a collectors item and couldn't be replaced. So I kept it (got it for 28 Euro) but If anyone out there happens to have 2 copies of disc 2 and they want to swap please make contact.
- Edited 11 years agoA limited release from a pillar of competence in electronic music, one of the most well-received soundtracks of recent memory, a nostalgic movie franchise with a rich culture, and a record company that is both not known for its forays into the vinyl world and not likely to cash in on its revival. After Daft Punk released RAM, the other albums started to gain traction as well, and Tron is no exception.
Discogs isn't a seller's database it's a collector's database. By that I mean, you can price your collection as high as you feel like (or as low). maybe it won't sell for $X, but to some collectors it will be worth it. prices will rise and fall irregularly based on what you can assume to be meaningless or meaningful changes in the habits or bank accounts of collectors.
But if you can't find it for less, then your only option is to buy it from someone who prices it in accordance with it's assumed value, both to music and to your collection, or you might as well complain about the price of google stock.
Cheers!
