Reviews
- I’ve not had great luck with VMP GZ presses, especially with metallics as far as noise and warps, but his pressing sounds great, low surface noise after a cleaning and basically flat. The print and booklet are quality. Cover images are not high resolution but looking at scans of original LPs not sure they ever had better images. RKS Mastering really works here and would think he had to have a hi-res digital source as I’m hearing so much more than the cd and much smoother. Fantastic album got the reissue its deserved.
- VMP nailed this pressing. Dynamics and mastering sound great, copy was flat and the gold record looks awesome
- Edited 12 days agoDope to finally have this masterpiece in my collection. Haven't gotten round to spinning just yet, but gotta say off the bat, the resolution on the front and back cover images is a bit of a bummer. Also interesting choice to omit the usual VMP essentials write up on the back strip, though maybe this record speaks for itself
- Might be some variation in appearance on these - mine has some clear mixed in so it's more of a clear w/ gold swirl, but still has the waviness from the metallic color. Looks gorgeous, though!
- Anyone have any notes on how this sounds? I know gold records don’t exactly have the best reputation but I’m hopeful, I’ve waited along time to add this to the collection.
