- THE EDDIE THOMAS SINGERS Lp. Original UK pressing on SAGA label (EROS 8049), from 1968. Seldom seen or heard project from the obscure arranger and vocal chorus group. Really groovy jazz with voices that completely destroys the Barbara Moore Singers / Voices In Latin / Jack Hendrix / Jumping Jacques sound. Pretty sure Eddie Thomas was an arranger for American TV and radio in the 60s but this release was UK only. Not to be confused with the soul singer of the same name. Cult and desirable item with Japanese collectors and DJs. For us, even better than his Voices From The Apartment Below Lp. Every track is superb, especially the hip latin beat of SPEAK LOW / THE BOSSA NOVA'S OVER / LUCKY STREAK and ST. LOUIS BLUES. Sophisticated, elegant and catchy arrangements with bongos / vibes / piano / guitar / flute / horns etc. Very Rare Lp!!!
