Reviews
Show All 21 Reviews- Ordered from Best Buy. 3 sides sound great, one side is One Direction. Guess I have to buy another copy. SMH.
- A few pops, not much, but 3rd side is labeled as 4th side, not a big deal, but it's not Pearl Jam on the 3rd side. It's some pop band. No clue who it is, but has anyone ever heard this happening?
- I was excited to pick this up. Upon opening, it was easily the worst-pressed/finished new vinyl I’ve seen in a long time. Dirty/filmy vinyl, rough edges, and both spindle holes look like they were cut by hand - uneven with puckered vinyl. Labels around the spindle holes are split outward from the hole, as if they didn’t fit (which I’m sure is the case). It’s going back without a play.
- I just picked this up at my LRS this week, new and sealed. Reading all of the reviews/comments herein it looks like I got lucky. Not only does my copy sound great, it was also pristine clean out of the sleeve. Barely a crackle. So glad to have my favorite PJ album on vinyl!!
- The mastering on this sound pretty good. The pressing sounds like it was done by three guys from Kellogg, Snap, Crackle and Pop.
- Edited one year agoOrdered this last week from Amazon US. My copy has WG/NRP in the runout. Press quality is pretty bad. Both records are quite noisy. Even after two spins cleans. One of the records has jagged edges and gouges. Almost cut myself spin cleaning it.
Edit: Replacement copy showed up clean as a whistle. Not a single pop or crackle across either record after a spin clean. Fidelity-wise, this album isn't bad. It's also not fantastic either. It's a good casual listening copy, but doesn't provide an immersive listening experience. No question sound quality could be better. - Do any of these 2011 pressings come in the textured gatefold? Or does the texture indicate the later (better) MPO pressing?
- Edited one year agoSounds pretty flat to my ears , side A in particular. Pretty disappointed with this press. Kicking myself for not picking up an original press I saw in a used bin a few years ago.
- Saw this at Wal-Mart and picked it up. Check out your Wal-Mart bins, guys! They are getting overstock and you never know what you'll find! I agree with other reviews, the sound isn't amazing, and there is some surface noise here and there, which may diminish after a few plays. Overall, though,, it doesn't sound bad.. The packaging is great on this! Maybe not "audiophile " as it's marketed, but it sounds good. Invest in a good system, keep your stylus clean, and know that not every record is audiophile quality. Even the one's that say they are, lol.
- There is nothing audiophile about this release. It sounds flat, no dynamics, no bass, no punch...Just annoying! This band and their work merits much better than this. Brought it back to the store after one listen.
