    ABBA: The Album.

ABBA are a Swedish pop group formed in Stockholm in 1972 by Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. The group's name is an acronym of the first letters of their first names. They became one of the most commercially successful acts in the history of popular music, topping the charts worldwide from 1974 to 1983.

ABBA: The Album (also known as simply The Album) is the fifth studio album by the Swedish pop group ABBA. It was released in Scandinavia on 12 December 1977 through Polar Music, but due to the massive pre-orders the UK pressing plants were not able to press sufficient copies before Christmas 1977 and so it was not released in the UK until January 1978. The album was released in conjunction with ABBA: The Movie, with several of the songs featured in the film.

    Side 1

    1."Eagle" 5:51

    2."Take a Chance on Me" 4:05

    3."One Man, One Woman" 4:33

4."The Name of the Game" 4:54

    Side 2

    1."Move On" 4:42

    2."Hole in Your Soul" 3:41

Having been released alongside ABBA: The Movie, this album is bound to have some good songs in it, such as "The Name of the game" and "Take a Chance on me". However, the very same film that was released with this makes it so that a lot of these songs are recognised from that film. Otherwise, this album has some great 70s ABBA hits and the master is great! Abba's music style is truly unique, and brings a sense of nostalgia for many. But I cannot rate this album higher due to only having 6 songs on it, and due to this, I wouldn't personally listen to it over some of the other albums I have in my collection.

    Album Score: 6/10
