This is the original US pressing with small "Parental Advisory Explicit Content" emblem at bottom right of front cover. Mastering/runout variant to otherwise identical Back To Black, with lacquer cut at Sterling Sound for the East Coast market, instead of The Mastering Lab (TML) for the West Coast market.

there will truly never be another Amy. she was so incredible and had such a genius mind for music! i'm really glad this record is in my collection, i listen to it a lot and her lyrics are just so timeless, i always feel a connection to what she's saying in each song after all these years. i miss her and think of her often. what an incredible musical legacy to leave behind, and what an incredible album! ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ–ค

I am commenting on a pressing that had its lacquer cut by Ray Janos at Sterling Sound, indicated by an etched "RJ" followed by a stamped "STERLING" in the runout area. It was pressed at United Record Pressing, indicated by an etched โ“ค, which is a little letter "u" inside a circle. My copy sounds wonderful, so I'd like to suggest that negative reviews might be referring to a different version.

Found a sealed copy but pressing quality is terrible, Rehab is unplayable. One of the worst pressed albums I have the misery of owning!

Great album, terrible pressing. Noisy and poorly mastered. I recommend getting a different pressing.

Ive got original Island with small advisory printed on the cover on lower right and it was bought right at release. The mid 2007 re release has the larger advisory on the cover on lower left and i believe those were universal as well and not island but cant remember now.

This pressing is awful! Get the Island one, much better.

I bought my copy when it came out, same version mentioned below; and it came with odd, very prominent surface marks across the entire face of the record. Audibly it plays fine.. no skips, pops, or distortion. That said, it is by no means the best record I've ever heard; it sounds like they just sent an existing master to a pressing plant, who in turn cut a lacquer with everything (I love GFK, but did we really need that bonus track here?) jammed to fit on two sides--frequency loss be damned--in order to keep costs down. I would rather listen to a clean digital copy; there is just so much missing here.

It's not all bad, though. I get some enjoyment out of seeing the anti-piracy logo + notice on the back of a fucking record cover. Maybe they're still worried about cassette bootlegs.

All in all, I do wonder if Universal Records knows they're releasing vinyl or if it somehow keeps happening by accident.

Fantastic sounding pressing on my system. Nice fat,
dark but clear analog sound here!

I see there is a lot of problems here on pressing quality, here my suggestion ask the seller where they got it from, and how long they owned it. From reading comments its seems the people like me who got the album in the early days when it come out have no issues (single vinyl copy). Mine come from if i remember a uk internet record shop either Hard2find Records or JUNO. But again bought around the time it was released or within the year. The problems seem to arrise after when the represses come about. I have no idea how to tell but mine has ''parent advisory'' printed on front and is NOT A STICKER and is also SMALL in size on the bottom RIGHT side (same as images). Try to aim for that as a way to identify the ''good sounding pressing''.

                    Cheers DJKIDC
