The music on this collection is exceptional. A fifties lounge vibe, Scott Walker influences, 70's singer-song writer flecks. Dude is amazing. The split color pressing is another matter. There's far too much surface noise. Luckily that's what my SugarCube is for. Once engaged, I could appreciate the excellent mastering of this release, surface noise free. There are a few faint touches of non-fill with is an absence of data due usually to air bubbles that got into the pressing. Highly variable, many may get pressing free of this. I'm likely going to try the black vinyl 2024 repress to see if I can get a cleaner copy. Will report back here if I do. Honestly, it's so good that it's worth suffering a bit surface noise even it you have no means of filtering it out.
How in the earthly hell is Tonight not on RH's best of record? I'm still gonna buy it, but damn.
Great collection of songs goes great with a large glass of red- Real trouble getting the record out of the sleeve. Playing nicely though

Too bad that “Remorse code” isn’t on the vinyl version. 
The songs from the very recent LPs sound reasonable, but as always the Mute and Setanta-era songs really lack dynamics - they sit in the speakers and never really project a soundstage into the room.
The vinyl is noisy on my copy and Side C has a pressing flaw (extensive stitching on track 1), so my copy went back to Juno UK.
It's a hell of a body of work that Mr Hawley has brought into the world but he's always let down by sonically mediocre releases IMHO.- Lovely pressing, sounds great, no surface noise and a rich sound.
