Edited 3 months agoGood Pressing, Guerssen 'Rowdy Dowdy Day' quiet, Mandy Morton says in the sleeve notes that this was originally recorded and live mixed to a 'Domestic cassette recorder', given the quality of recording, frequency reponse, unless the Vinyl mastering technician Javier Rolodon is frankly a mixing and mastering Necromancer, that just can't be the case. The quality is just too good. It's rough and ready, not the greatest individual playing you are ever going to hear, but it's redolent of the late 70s Folk revival, and tinged with Folk Rock sensibilities. A Joy, a simple joy, to listen to.
Ahh here is a song with some background noise and some distortion in the bass end, perhpas it was dubbed from Cassette.
