The QC on this is pretty terrible. My record was scratched and scuffed to hell, not to mentioned warped and (I think) off-center. Plenty of surface noise -- and maybe pitch wavering, but I can't be sure yet. I've heard it's being repressed/remastered/recut by a new engineer on red vinyl, so I'll be interested to see if that's better.

Vinyl sold out everywhere, Claddagh says there will be a 2nd pressing in March/April 2024.

Oh my god, what an incredible record this is! It easily ranges amongst the best I've heard in a while. So gorgeous, so touching, so dark it sends me goosebumps and touches me deeply. Million thanks for this masterpiece! Also very interesting side-note is, they won actress Olwen Fouéré, co-founder of Irish experimental theatre group/musicians "Operating Theatre", starring in their video for "Cruel Mother". This brings automatically names like Roger Doyle and even Nurse With Wound to mind. So you have an imagination where to locate the artistic demands and sensitivity of the band. Musically it reminds me of some of the saddest moments of the This Mortal Coil universe but while TMC's cover versions mirroring the personal feelings, struggles and abysses of their respective originators and had a brilliant and detailed production ØXN is coming along much more darker and rougher and draws inspirations from centuries old Irish traditionals and folk of murder ballads, sadness and hopelessness and speaks to a deeper consciousness of not only their own nation because...we're living in dark times. I'm sure that's one of the reasons they sold out their concert in Vicar Street, Dublin on February, 29th (a date only existing every 4 years, fitting and meaningful) with 1000+ capacity. I am very curious about future releases and, beloved readers, this is my personal humble opinion only...

A modern folk masterpiece. Dark, original beautiful music that has a real emotional heft.

My inner came with 2 split edges, right from the sleeve still in shrink. FYI.
