Reviews
- Track D1 "Under Sea Disturbances" is definitely better at 45RPM, but pitching it down a bit is even better
- I go back to this album constantly. Worth picking up since it’s so cheap nowadays. Might take a while to click but you’ll love it once it does
- This is a very solid Drexciya album overall with Under Sea Disturbances being one of the all time great Detroit Techno tracks in my opinion. A must have album for Detroit Techno lovers with the original Tresor pressing still available for a reasonable price, for now.......
- Edited 19 years agoThis is another brilliant album produced by Drexciya. The first of many Storms released shorty after another.
The tracks on this album are very diverse. Off corse all of them have the specific Drexciyan sound. The record kicks of with Digital Tsunami, a great track to start things of; it is very enjoyable to listen. The other tracks are darker they take you into the deep sea, a very interesting world to listen to. The album closes with two phenomenal tracks; Mission to Ociya Syndor and back is a very hard and organic track. I can't help imagining how it would feel to hear this track live on a party, the whole place will freak out! The very last track is called Under sea disturbances, the only track on the D side. It is a long mysteriuos downtempo track, just beautiful. Everytime I listen to this album it gets better and better, it is a masterpiece.
This album doesn't sound anything like the other Storms, it is an unique record...definately a must have. - Let's focus on the music again. For me this is another great Drexciya release - and let me add that it took me a long time to get into Drexciya. So to those not quite getting Drexciya I recommend patient persistance. The album - very different from the equally brilliant Neptune's Layer on Tresor. This album is more subtle and less melodic. Rhythms and atmospheres that really create a world of their own. All inspired! Every track has a deep feeling to convey. Let me just mention Undersea Disturbances - the mysterious and beautiful power of the sea!!! An album that can transport you to the deepest depths of the ocean is to be experienced. Buy this album with confidence. Quality music so often grows with each listening - this has been my Drexciya experience.
