Reviews
- Huge fan of this tape, I need to do some more in depth listening/analysis for some track ids but great to see reissue labels also putting out a lot of Jugo post-punk at the moment. Some of it reminds me of the excellent Russian band Kino also.
Have been to Belgrade multiple times and really want to go back and do some proper digging now.
A few reissue labels worth checking:
Discom
Fox & His Friends
Croatia Records/Nika Records not reissue labels but reissuing some good stuff. - Fantastic compilation of rare gems. I went to Yugoslavia in 1992 in search of exactly this type of thing but I failed. I visited many record shops and couldn't find any local tapes. Must've been looking in the wrong place. I dd come back with a truckload of fairly mainstream UK and US Yugoslavian pic sleeves / unusual issues but that's another tale.
