techno-industrial-disco with an occasional hint of something even more indefinable. it is very very pleasing to the ears, even though hard to pin down.

Rinôçérôse hit with their debut, INSTALLATION SONORE, right when everyone was trying to figure out how to integrate rock music with techno. And they, for the most part, succeeded. "La Guitaristic House Organisation," for instance, has those electric guitar stabs to punctuate the house beat, while the wah-wah of "Radiocapte" gives it plenty of groove. They bring in a whole woodwind section with "Sublimior," and "Le Mobilier" amps up the energy. "323 Secondes De Musique Repetitive Avec Guitare Espagnole" is slightly more mellow and sticks with the 'truth in advertising' theme, as does the warm, sunny "Mes Vacances A Rio." The blues makes an appearance on "I Love Ma Guitare," and "Le Triangle" leads the album out with the titular instrumental ringing in some good cheer. A jolly time.
