Reviews
- Just picked up my copy of Vol. 2 and she is beautiful, flat and silent.
No complaints with this in any way, shape or form. It's a serious must-get for fans of early garage rock and psychedelica curated by Lenny Kaye himself back in 72/73 for the initial Nuggets Vol. 2 that never happened. But here it is in all its glory!
Get it while you can, you won't be disappointed. - My copy sounds great its flat, clean and silent, my splatter looks great similar to the version above, as far as the tracks go I would only object to 2 or 3 out of 28 which is pretty good for a comp as far as im concerned, so for $35 this is a great set! and a fun listen , definitely a buy
- Got my Vol.1 and Vol.2 splatter copies today and have to say they are pretty clean with the sound, bit flat but silent (at least for me)...
The only thing i was disappointed in was that they are not 180g (looking at the retail price of these vinyls).
And the splatters aren't near the same look or color palette as the product images. Yes i know these are hand work and wont be the same. they just put few dots on it and thats it...
But I know in fact they can make it near the same with more effort in it there are plenty of companies that do this but also
Oh and they used cheap thin paper hype stickers that were not able to be removed from the seal and transferred to better plastic sheets without damaging or rip them apart..
.
Yes I always try to remove hype stickers and put them on a PP sheet and put them between the PP cover protection sleeves and gatefold so you can see them... - Not sure why they would not have used the original Nuggets II track listing from the cd box, which blows these selections away, a handful of questionable additions here.
- Edited one year agoNo doubt there’ll be the usual reservations about GZ/(p)splatter quality issues, but I think this sounds great, especially given the limitations of the source material. And actually this is an example of splatter vinyl complimenting the sleeve and musical contents perfectly. Probably overpriced (why is it vinyl in the UK often costs twice as much as our US brethren!?) but happy with this.
- Excellent compilation of various artist. Sound quality is amazing and extremely clean and clear. Extremely pleased with this purchase.
