For some reason these two compilations of digital dub and futuristic instrumental Jamaican pop music didn't sell very well.
The advantage they have over many of the vocal sides of the original 7"s is that they don't have some gravel voiced singer barking aggressively over the top. These sides are just the pure instro versions of Jamaican 7"s mainly from the 80s, 90s & 00s.
I think some of this stuff is just too forward for people... or maybe its the repetition without anything happening (seemingly) that folk don't take to. Anyway - I'm always hearing new sounds, rhythms and ideas on these LPs. Really top quality selections 10/10.
