Terekke was an unknown until his EP dropped back in mid summer of 2011 and sold out almost instantly. Working around a lo-fi 116bpm, ”Damn” takes you to places other producers only wish they could reach. Shuffling along through a thick fog but never losing any depth as it moves, Terekke brings in intricate melodies and eerie unrecognisable vocal snippets which all add to the dark atmosphere of the record. Killer.
Two super-dirty, hazed-out early morning jams. If you like it lo-fi, analogue-as-fuck,a little bit dark and sketchy, with some very nastily-programmed TR-707, then this is the joint for you! I sure hope I get to play this sometime to a crowd who can dig it the right way. I really like it.
