As has been mentioned repeated, this is not the album version of Dirt. It is more stripped down without the samples. What I miss more though is the bass riff during the first minute or so. Unlike others, I am more ambivalent about it. As much as I love Dirt, it may be the track that has aged the poorest on this album. It also can be a hard shift on a straight play through and this version blends in more. It definitely is an inferior version of the track, but it may serve the whole better. But like I said, very mixed feelings.
As others have commented, it's just not the same without the epic opening of Dirt with its Woodstock sample. The sample which repeats later in the tune has also been edited to remove the swearing. Really disappointed as I was so looking forward to having this on vinyl at last.
Its so good to actually hear Rematerialised on a vinyl. It was missing off the Original pressing. This sounds great. Decent colour, no surface noise and heavy.
