Absolutely awful low quality vinyl press.

High noise floor, poorly cut record, massively overpriced and just bad by all regards concerning the quality of the the physical record. It also sounds as if it was pressed from a digital master, again not good, unfortunately.

This is more something you own as a status symbol rather than a record to actually play seriously. It's to be put on your IKEA record stand next to your manuka honey and unbleached nettle tea selection.

The record itself musically is very pretentious (as you may know), you may love or hate it regarding this, the flute playing is not great, it's child like to lower level intermediate, but again you may like or dislike the record for this reason.

I'm into a lot of outsider music and accept that a lot of early punk musicians (among others) made powerful musical statements with less skill than say a classically trained musician.

I got it in a swop for the original impeach the president (which is itself an overrated and fairy poor press, quality wise despite the single itself musically being awesome), for my intended purpose, sampling, this record was unusable. But I was able to trade it in for over $100 worth of break beats with ease, so this record clearly has value from a collectors stand point already. Which is impressive in regards to the economy of trading records.

Basically - it's hot trash, but so are a lot of other high value items, as an investment or status symbol as a collector i understand the value though. Unfortunately I'm not rich enough to not have utility and functionality from my purchases - so as a record it had to go.

Although I mustcsat owning New Blue Sun briefly was "an experience", of the twisty moustache cultivating, grenola munching, bear foot shoe under the teach job desk sporting, Starbucks soy latte with extra soy consumption - variety. I'm not sure what I'd of become had I of held onto this and for me that alone was reason enough to banish it into the circulation of the hipsters. I'm sure it's changed hands many times since by two Anthony Fantano looking dudes agreeing a purchase via Facebook Marketplace and securing the trade in Soho Coffee shop over a €17 frothy monstrosity of a caffeinated beverage.

I wish my X record all the best, it reminds me of the Sweedish art teacher I dated in 2007, she tried to move me into her squatter settlement, but I said "Sorry Helga, it's been a hell of a ride, but no".

I love the album in its digital format, the world needs more art like this. A3000 is a genius and a shaman, and for that this pressing deserves better than what came in the mail.
Very noisy, manufacturing left loads of grit on all sides. I was able to get some of the heavy stuff off but the rest will not wash away, almost unplayable. Sounds like there is a no return or exchange policy so guess I’m stuck with it as a physical symbol of something I love but can’t enjoy. 🤷🏽‍♂️😢

So much of this album is derivative, unoriginal, void of substance. I was expecting the opposite. There can be no short cuts when it comes to creating ambient music that is absorbing, transforming and fluid. Jon Hassell and Brian Eno are prime examples. Sam Shepherd’s another. Don Cherry was a true innovator. This album is Emperor of new clothes stuff. There is nothing to see here.

Incredible album. Improvisational and esoteric to some degree. Probably wouldn’t be blinked at if it were done by any other artist. The name holds a lot of the weight here but the material is enough to stand on its own also.

I honestly feel like this is absolutely worth it for the price! It’s got a good weight to it, the packaging is full of detail and the post card artworks and poster adds a nice touch imo. My only wish is that it came in a trifold jacket or a non paper jacket, other than that though it’s a great release 👌🏽

mine sounds stellar. just awesome. i love this record.

my only gripe is with the paper sleeves. with all the thought and love that went into this album and this vinyl edition, to not use a nice plastic-lined inner sleeve just makes no sense.

oh and no digital download included with the purchase of the vinyl also chapped my ass a bit.

                  LP
glossy and heavy but with noticeable scuffs/markings/dust. flat
                  Packaging
cheaply housed with nice extras. packaged with paper sleeves
                  Sound
(Cleaned with humminguru prior to listening played through high end system) compared to lossless recordings, finding poorer imaging/fidelity of intended production. Noticeable/distracting surface noise.

                  Wonderful music but poor pressing

Amazing return to music in a very artistic way. This pressing is so amazingly flat and quiet…this is important for the low sound registers and arrangements to shine in full. A must own if you want to experience the album at its best. I also love that each record side is filled all the way to the point of no wasted real estate. And all the art and inserts are very well thought out. A win for this release quality through and through.

Why are we shocked by the price? It's Andre, this is his first major moneymaking thing since Outkast reunited in 2014... I'm happy to give him my money idk
