Reviews
- It's a solid release. Sounds more dynamic in comparaison with my 80's Netherlands press. I'm not fan of the marketing choice to press it in gold nugget vinyl. Specially when this release is called "back in black"...
- AC/DC, celebrating "50 Years" of being arguably one of the very best hard rock bands in the world, in my opinion, nailed it with this Gold disc copy of "Back In Black" The 180 gram disc lies flat on my platter, and just rocks the house from beginning to end. During the rare quiet moments, there's virtually zero annoying pops and crackles. I'm 77 years old, and it felt like I was in my early 30's again. I can still play air guitar as well as anyone. If you have any complaints about this masterpiece just not sounding quite perfect enough for you, try turning up the volume. That often works!
If I do have any complaint, it's with the lightweight cover. They could have done a lot better with a nice sturdy gatefold. Two of the four corners on mine are bent. It really shows with the black cover. I sent for a replacement, so here's hoping the new one is better.
$53 from Amazon up here in Canada, and $50 in the U.S. Go figger!! I'm sure you're going like this record. - Se ve bonito y suena genial. Tiene carne, pegada. Mi copia inmaculada, nada de defectos al reproducirlo. Muy contento con la compra
- LOL, still the same differences in tracklists between back cover and sticker labels. I already have this on my German 1980 pressing. So, that's also the 50th anniversary of this mistake :)
- Edited one year agoI never heard the “OG” or any other vinyl version and was still figuring out which one to buy, opinions in reviews may vary. Decided to go with this reissue and I’m not at all disappointed with this pressing. It’s flat, dead quiet, sounds crisp and clean with very satisfying bottom end and just enough dynamics. It certainly puts a smile on my face and in the end that’s all that matters.

Kef Q550 - Perfect flat and dead quiet pressing:10/10
Sound is bright, clear, with nice spacing and OK-ish separation + punch: 8/10
You can volume-up and it doesn't sound harsh. Also, to me, the last side tracks A5/B5 sounds slightly worse (compressed?) probably due to how close are they to the runout.
Overall I'm really happy with this record.
