There is nothing wrong with the mastering on this record. Killer music and the pressing is fairly quiet after cleaning.- Edited 3 months agoMusically this is a killer record. My copy has no surface noise issues. The mastering didn't make me freak out in shock at how amazing it is, but for the price this is a really great release. Highly recommended.
Not the best Impulse product, have to say. Both inner and outer sleeves were shipped directly from them, and arrived with abrasion wear on the top and bottom sides. It was shipped with other items, and those items were fine. Disappointing. Filthy vinyl, required several cleanings before acceptable sound was had.
I like the music; wish I could say the same about the edition. The mastering and pressing of this are sub-par. Not a lot of clarity to be found, and the surface noise is completely intrusive. If you need a physical copy of this, get the CD.
Lacquer cut by Bob Weston! Yeah baby! Impulse pressings can sometimes be a swing and a miss, but this one is really solid for a new release.
