    Edit: 14 May.

This variant sound absolutely fine to me, much better than US variant by United, the mix is dynamic but you need a hefty hardware to bring them out, on average system with bookshelf speakers this can sound dull given its cut very low. But if you have the hardware turn the volume knob to 68dbs this will shine, compared to MOV 2024 reissue lacks botttom end, MOV as always is cut loud so it makes an impression but the drums are burried in MOV and it does sound compressed, but its still the better of the two.

But that doesn't mean 2024 reissue is garbage which its not, so disregard comments like garbage and trash and buy this one, not the definitive version but will satisfy most.

    9th May:

Well, tbh this sounds great to my ears, and as with most krieger cuts this record is also cut low very low, but it has lots of dynamics if you got the system to extract it, I'm playing it at around 66dbs and got Klipsch towers to bring the dynamics out and I'm satisfied..

I do have MOV which I borrowed from a friend to compare the all 3. But on a quick listen MOV has more bottom end and is bright, this sounds very warm but to my ears very dynamic. But I only compared rotten apple, in few days I'll do a proper comparison.

PS: it needed a good clean, like manual sink wash with goat hair brush, and distilled water, deep cleaning is important.

Dead silent, sound is quite good but don't listen to MOV version after. MOV version is way better, richer and warmer than this reissue. Difference is huge and this is really disappointing. It deserves a quality reissue like Facelift but not this time.

so, is this dramatically better than the US pressing? or just somewhat?

I bought a copy from UK, but the sony music logo is missing on jacket. Can anyone confirm EU pressings with the same jacket as the US pressings before I open?

Sounds rich and is really quite decent. Definitely not a poor remastering or pressing. Doesn’t blow me away, but I can’t really put my finger on why. Maybe separation could better clarify and individualize the instrumentation in the mix.

Not quiet. Some pops - Minor but consistent. Grabbed a second copy and the pops were in the same place so related to the pressing. Overall though a great listen. Sounds great.

I have the 2010 MOV press and I think that is a clear winner. This press, the mids are way too high. Sometimes sounding distorted in the vocal ranges. The 2010 press seems to be more compressed (in a good way). This press is dead silent though. Very quiet record but for this album and type of music. I’m sticking to the 2010 release.

This is a good pressing, flat, quiet and no surface noice!

If you do get this, better this pressing than the US. Flat and quiet trouble free vinyl. Sound wise the bass is very present and there's good clarity but the main issue is that it's a bit anemic in the mid-range and lacking in much of the natural coloration found in both the OG and the MOV. It also requires noticeably more volume than both the OG or MOV to open up. Listening to all three I would say for vinyl the MOV is the winner. It's louder and possibly more compressed but done so in a way that it has more punch but never clips or distorts. If you're unsure about this pressing and don't want to buck up for the MOV or OG then just stick with the original CD.

Fantastic pressing, dead flat and quiet. I have the 2010 MOV press as well and cannot see why you would seek that pressing instead (other than in search of SAP, which is missing on this release). Both AAA
