One of my favorite "kraut" albums too. Probably one of the easiest works of all Cluster/Kluster legacy, sweet (as the title suggests), nice, psychedelic and cosy. Both timeless and retro at the same time. This album alone could have spawned some new genre.

just got hold of a 1st pressing and noticed the left and right channels are swapped compared with my copies of the 1979 vinyl reissue and a 200? CD remaster, Maybe the stereo feed from the master tapes got reversed somewhere down the production chain for later releases? Does anyone know if all reissues are the same?

Best Cluster album ever. It conveys a certain incomparable mood.

"Zuckerzeit" is my favorite Lp by Cluster. The music on it has a certain appeal to it that is hard to resist. The more you listen the more you like it. The instrumentation is very similar
to what you hear on both Harmonia Lp's,
which was their other current project at the time and which also featured Michael Rother from Neu. "Zuckerzeit" is without Rother but sounds like it could have been the third Harmonia Lp. which unfortunately never materialized. "Zuckerzeit" easily qualifies to be on my 20 best Krautrock Lp's ever made list.
