- When this album hit the radio it changed the way I play music. I went from playing Bass in Goth bands to playing Jazz and classical music. I eventually took up piano too. So when I saw this a few years ago, all wrapped up and mint at a record store day, I grabbed it like that Golem cat from the Lords Ring and went straight home to put it on.
WOW... The hole was (is) 1cm off centre, it's warped and even the label on one side goes over the groove!
I couldn't even get my money back. I paid a lot for it too.
So, Great album by the BFF, on "CD", but these PLAIN Recordings vinyl versions are a good reason to give up on life and let the world go to mud. - Great sound on this. Quiet vinyl, good mastering. The packaging is awesome too. A thick, tip on style jacket with crisp printing. Comes with an insert that has the pics and credits from the original release. Got my copy from the runt shop website. They're apparently out of print and any copies out there are limited, so I'd say grab it before the prices go up. Pressed by rainbow records, and looks like it was cut by Ron McMaster (a little "RM" in the deadwax) at Capitol Mastering.
- Everyone is ragging so hard on this pressing all over the net, but Plain may have fixed the issue somehow. My copy that I just ordered is quiet and is a definite upgrade over the CD.
- This Plain Recordings pressing is garbage. Noisy "180g" vinyl, thin and weak cd sourced mastering.
Waste of $23 on an impulse buy. Next time will avoid anything pressed by Plain Recordings.
