I was a bit worried if 1LP version would sound good, but it does. No clicks&pops, I would say one of the best PDs in my collection. Solid pressing, no complains at all.
I listened to this vinyl carefully with my headphones. What a nice surprise, the sound is powerful and dynamic. I heard very few little clicks or pops here and there, not very annoying. There is also the flow during the silences between songs which is characteristic of picture discs. I've heard a lot of new vinyls really worse than that. I am happy with my purchase. 4/5
I’ve always loved Parklife. This disc is beautiful with exceptional color and detail. Sound wise, I compared it with my 1994 original pressing. This remastered version is pressed louder and has brighter mids, clear and tighter bass with more clarity in sections. However, it doesn’t quite have the warmth and musical color (for example, the strings on Tracy Jacks). There is low surface noise on my copy, but it’s minimal and nothing vinyl aficionados aren’t accustomed to. All in all it sounds really good and it’s quite a unique version of a great record.
I'd say this is the nicest looking but worst sounding record I own. Surface noise is far beyond what you would expect or what I'd regard as acceptable. Pure novelty and nothing more. The other RSD release I bought (Suede Autofiction Live) sounds absolutely spectacular by comparison. This will be my first and last Zoetrope.
I own the 1st press and the Blur vinyl collection box set from the early 2010's, so had no intention of buying this, but would have bought a copy if I'd have known they'd be such demand for it...I would imagine the price will drop on this later in the year when the annual RSD hysteria dies down...It's not extremely limited, it's a reissue, the sound quality will be relatively poor, and you need a UV light or App to appreciate the Zoetrope....It's ok though, cos it has all the bells and whistles lol. Would imagine this one ticks all the boxes for new vinyl collectors, and a younger collector demographic.
I managed to pick this up for £25 on RSD, and I was happy! Then I saw the prices today and now I'm very happy! Not that I plan on selling it, great for my growing collection!
I had it in my hands at RSD24 and thought “I have this album already, why do I need another one and even picture disk?”. But then I saw it on video and wanted to return to the store and buy it there but all were sold out ofc. Then I saw prices here and decided to forget it.
So today I was just passing by a local store in my neighbourhood, went inside and they had it! Paid 32.90€ and it’s mine. Pure luck but maybe you should still lurk local stores for it.
Sound is ok, my copy is not noisy, though sonically it’s a bit flat and definitely lifeless. Animation is gorgeous, so totally worth to have it just for fun (but not for 110€+).
Wow, I’m glad I picked up a copy of this up before the prices went UP! It sounds and looks great for a picture disc imo, and I’m very glad to finally have Parklife on vinyl! :)
