- Edited one month agoPurchased new. Warped vinyl that interferes with ability to play without repeating segments. A2 ends abruptly. Very disappointed and will return if I can.
What great dynamics and almost flawless pressing. Besides a pop or three, the mastering is excellent. No distortion at all, although perfectly possible with dynamic trumpets, flutes and clarinet. I have multiple Mingus records, not all to my taste, but this one hits the mark for me. Bernie did a great job in mastering this!- I have no complaints about this one. Great sound and great music. Sounds much better than my Mosaic CD set, although I believe that's in mono and this is stereo. Only minimal tics and that was right out of the box with no cleaning.
- Yes, seekers, track A3 is only 3:50, not 9:27 as noted. I suspect a Cut & Paste error. Carry on and good Luck.
Good pick for those who like the first version of the album released last year. High audio quality however mine came warped. A must have for Mingus collectors
