- I personally like his older 2007 - 2009 production . That period was the crossover of electro and progressive for both trance and house . Quite a nice gatefold and red vinyl . Would prefer it to have some extended version for my dj mix but still a great LP for listening . Sound quality is good , well mastered . Recommended and i believe its the first vinyl version for Random Album Title .
- Awesome - the modern Giorgio Moroder and nothing is skippable. I imagine this would be great tripping music
- Not worth buying without Faxing Berlin, or at least decent replacement songs. (Jaded? Clockwork?) Fingers crossed for another press down the line that'll be done with the right tracklist
- After listening for a while, I realized that the way I was listening was not the best way to listen. I can confidently say that this record is mastered perfectly for vinyl.
- This pressing sounds good but it's all over the place..... Some songs are missing and some are added and overall, it just comes off as being a mess and a waste. It doesn't flow as well as the CD. This really needs to be pressed with the original songs and original mixes. Even if it means a 3LP pressing.
Also, the paper sleeves suck. - I luckily found a copy of this at a local store, for regular price, and I am so glad I grabbed it.
Yes, it is the "mixed" version of the album and yes a few songs/mixes were removed (rights issues) which were replaced with other mixes, seamlessly mixed in.
Being that this is the only official vinyl version of the album, I just had to get it, and I was not disappointed.
It shakes my sub, and my house but is still clear and dynamic enough to feel like deadmau5 is hosting a rave in my living room.
Despite the records coming in those lame-ass paper sleeves, they came out clean, debris free and ultimately with no pops/ticks/static/noise of any kind - despite not going through a deep clean.
I can't recommend this pressing enough. Get it while you can, as I don't imagine many were pressed. - Edited 6 months agoEvery release I have picked up from deadmau5 has been spectacular. Whether it be a 12 inch single/mix or his recent vinyl album reissues, they never fail to disappoint. This particular variant sounds amazing when played loud as well.
- Glad I didn't snag this when the pre-order was happening, as now that it's out and noticing it's a mixed version without all the songs on there and some other pointless remixes, this would be a waste for me personally.
Let us hope one day he decides to release a proper vinyl variant of what will go down for me as his best record under the deadMau5 alias...!
