Reviews
- Edited one year agoThis is a tremendous album, but can you really listen to One Woman without thinking about Chef? Also, this '72 pressing sounds terrific and you can get one in NM condition for less than $30.
- I have the ENS-1001 in NM condition. Had it for over 40 years. Sound is full and sounds crystal. One of the best Isaac Hayes albums. Many hip-hop tracks like Biggies Warning, Kanye and others have sampled from songs on this album.
- Whenever I play this I get up and dance around the room. Then, "By The Time I Get To Phoenix" comes on and I cry.
- Edited 8 years agoA must have for any die-hard funkateer. Hip hop fans will instantly recognise the intro of "Walk On By" famously sampled by DJ Mike T for CMW's 1992 summer hit "Hood Took Me Under" and then again 2 years later by Easy Mo Bee for Notorious B.I.G's "Warning".
- Edited 8 years agoCan someone help me defining a version I have?
