"xtra P" is one of my favourite producers of the 90s and definitely shaped my taste for Boom Bap. And this longplayer, his second one, while it´s also his second from that year 95, which in contrast contained new material, is no exception. I mean, he may be not the greatest on the m.i.c., I like his voice and swag but the lyrics are not exactly great and his bars quite simple, but this stands firmly overall, also thanks to such guests as Nas, of course, the always welcome Akinyele, Q-Tip & Busta Rhymes. The music with the slick beats and nifty sampling is tasteful, obviously as you can expect it from the man. Classic art that sounds mostly like mid 90s. Not amazing, but absolutely rock solid with some highlights, like "Stay Chisel", "Akinyele" and "Large Pro".
