Depeche Mode's aggressive pet baboon who lives in a fetid swamp and wears jackboots.

    I like it.

I wish for a different sequencing of this album, a disco and cabarat side, the disco side would be like:

        Ich Und Die Wirklichkeit
        Der Mussolini
        Als Wär's Das Letzte Mal
        Alle Gegen Alle

Glorious album presented in a glorious soundscape. Deep bass, fantastic stereo reproduction and crystal clear lyrics, topped off by sharp synths and drums. An amazing listen to one of the most important albums of the 80s. This first edition truly delivers and can be found dirt cheap. A must buy!

And again the translation leaves something to be desired: "Everything is good"? "All is well" seems better!

George Orwell wrote: "If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face — forever." That dystopian vision mirrored by DAF: "Unsere Stiefel sind so schön, Links den roten Blitz, Rechts den schwarzen Stern"
