Reviews
- Edited 3 months agoI had just graduated from high school in 1969 and our motto was " SEX , BOOZE , BOTTLE OF WINE ! WE'RE THE CLASS OF '69 ! " FM radio was just beginning to play AOR ( album oriented rock ) and one of the songs that I heard from the "ALAMO" (1971) album was "GET THE FEELIN' " ( "B" side track 3 ) and I loved it !! I never saw this LP in any retail stores and I thought that I might never see it. Lo and behold in the mid 1970's I found it for $ 0.25 ( That's right ! - a quarter ! ) in the cut-out bin of an old TOPPS DEPARTMENT STORE. I rushed home to play it and I thought that it was a good LP. This was unfortunately their only LP they produced. When CD's were being produced , I got rid of all of my LP's ( sold 'em ) and went to CD's only. The good thing is that this album was put on CD (WOUNDED BIRD RECORDS -2006) and I now have it in my collection!!
- Edited 6 years agoOne and only LP from this nearly-forgotten heavy psych outfit with some prog leanings, much like an American Deep Purple with shades of Captain Beyond. It's a shame they didn't get it together for another record, but kind of makes this one special.
dig it!
