Reviews
- This one is a real peach. Mesmerizing. Stunning. Arguably his masterwork, depending upon your opinion of Ladies and Gentlemen or Pure Phase. Worth the trouble if you can find a clean original Dedicated pressing.
- Edited 6 years agoOne of the most beautiful records I've ever heard -- having this original Dedicated pressing (as opposed to the reportedly sub-par Plain remaster, or the CD, etc) makes a HUGE difference. I can't emphasize this enough. With a decent system this album will flow through your speakers like liquid morphine. Gorgeous and ethereal and ephemeral and haunting -- and, above all, astonishingly well-produced. Certainly Spiritualized's finest hour, too: it's at least as focused and consistent as the (masterful) following two LPs, and far more interesting in sound and style than what came after that. Worth every penny if you can find a good copy.
