The New York Dub was the lick for me. Deep, dirty, cut-up vocals and man, that bass....

    Groovy shit ;-)

I remember buying this track in 92 when it came out, in the days when you had to put the record on out loud in the shop. The needle dropped on the M.K dub as soon as those strings kicked in everyone was over for a copy, love this track.

Sometimes we get amazed about how brilliant can be a timbre basis and how perfect can be a basic sequence of notes generated by it. After that, just try to imagine these beautiful, smooth and introspective melodies generated by this sequence of notes with drop outs clearly inspired on the lovely “Sueno Latino” classic.
Got it? Then, try to figure out how would it be if this tune was carved by the hands of an artist raised on the House city of Chicago, but emerged within the artistic philosophy of Detroit – a tune that would be “2-1/2 Steps” from anything else (of course I’m talking about this one exactly). Any idea about what did Chez Damier on that one?
But you can go even further: what would be the result if this tune was matched with an essential soulful acappella, like I heard Davi 'The Archmage' Hardcore doing once at the beginning of a set - melting nothing more, nothing less than this track - Chez Damier’s "2-1/2 Step" with Colonel Abrams' "Trapped" vocals... simply groundbreaking!

MK aka Mark Kinchen participated in that deep classic track and later released the world success remix of Nightcrawler's "Push the Feeling On", which repoduces the atmosphere of "Can you Feel it"
