- Can someone confirm if the white label with blue and black text containing runout: AR-7034 AS ARCHER - is this an original 1st pressing? Thanks.
- Edited 18 years agoBy the way, we rocked No UFO's in Chicago, it was part of the whole WBMX Hot Mix 5 rotataion (Heck I thought it was an import!) I know techno is it's "own thang" but NO UFOS's (an a whole lot more Detroit tracks) were foundational in the Chicago House Music history.
- Edited 8 years ago'No UFO's' single is the beginning of the solo carrer of Juan Atkins as Model 500 and one of the most important releases in techno history that came out through Metroplex, his label, in 1985.
Juan Atkins himself told me during an interview we did more than a decade ago (circa 2005): “The whole thing about *No UFOs* was the government’s message; what you’ve been told about "having No UFOs” was wrong – there’s got to be somethig right there." - this did it for me full stop.original first pressing beige label/brown text, original official pressing white label blue/black text.these were on flimsy vinyl, and instead of having matrix no.m-001 on the run out groove, had archer AR-7034.{!!!!!!!VERY,VERY,VERY,VERY,VERY RARE!!!!!!!}.
